For my card and video I am featuring the Christmas Cookies dies that are part of the new Dessert Elements set. The card is a visual representation of the evolution of a cookie, starting on the front of the card with the dough and then progressing into the card and up the three levels of the Cascade Pop-up to become a plate of finished cookies.

My card measures 5.5" x 5" when closed and can be mailed in an A7 envelope. For the front of the card I focused on the cookies in dough form, from bowl to rolling pin to cookie sheet. I combined pieces from Baking Charms, Square Cascade Add-ons, Dessert Elements and Christmas Wishes Clear Stamps.

As the card opens the Cascade Pop-up starts to expand.

By reversing the folds of the pop-up I was able to install it on the left panel of the card. This is a great (and easy) alternate assembly for the Cascade. I used the Square Cascade Add-ons and the Dessert Elements to create the rest of the cookie progression from cookie sheet to decorating station to finished plate of cookies. 

The piping bag is made from the slice of pie in the Dessert Elements set. Thanks to my cousin Jessica who helped me conceptualize some of the details of this card. We were crafting over Zoom a few days ago and she suggested adding a piping bag, overlapping the finished cookies on the plate and distressing the cookie sheets like this card. Fabulous ideas, Jess!

Sandy Diller did something very cool with the theme - she made a shaped apron card! I love the pocket full of Baking Charms on the front of her card and then the great use of the Cascade Pop-up, Mealtime Elements and Dessert Elements inside. For my card and video I'm teaching the assembly of the Gazebo Stage Add-ons and Little Bench Pop-up. These dies are the perfect additions to the previously-released Stage Pop-up to turn it into a lovely gazebo. The new Garden Greetings clear stamps have greetings that work perfectly for gazebo and little bench cards.

You have the option to fold the stage upwards or downwards. In the downwards position the card can be mailed in a 6x9 envelope. When folded upwards, a 6.5 x 6.5 square envelope works well.

The Little Bench Pop-up is sized to fit on the Stage, but can also be used on its own in a card. It is also a great size for the Paper People and Paper People - Summer Styles. As shown in the video, the table top die is also a stamp. Ink it before die cutting and the tile pattern will be stamped onto the paper during die cutting.

I challenged the team to create a card featuring a box or blocks. Their creations are outstanding, as usual.

For my card and video I am using Christmas Presents as my box element to make a Rockin' Rectangle Twist card in a Christmas theme. If it is still July 2026 as you read this blog post be sure to check out our Sale Items section for a great sale on all of our Christmas dies and stamps.

My card is A2-sized and features a collage Christmas tree on the front. I scoured several die sets for tiny collage elements for my trees and used paper scraps for all of the colors. The tree itself is from the Christmas Trees Pop Stand set. I used Rectangles - Crosshatch as the background.

As the card starts to open the alternate assembly of the Rockin' Rectangle and Twist Flower sets starts to pop up.

Inside some additional collage trees and a trio of Christmas presents pop up.

I used a lot of different die sets for the elements of this card. From Gingerbread Tiny House Add-ons I used the gingerbread man, peppermint candy, candy canes and gumdrops. From Tiny Gnomes I used the snowflake, jingle bells, bows and heart. From Fireplace Extras 1 I used the holly, berries and bows. From Gnome and Santa I used the small present and the mittens. From the Sleigh Pop-up I used the present and bow. From Tree Fruit I used the apples and pears. The greeting is from Season of Cheer clear stamps.

I challenged the team to create a card inspired by the colors in their home country's flag.

For my card and video I took the opportunity to fill in a missing assembly video for Die 1296 Cruise Ship Add-ons. I used red, white and blue as the primary colors of the card and ship.

The card is a landscape A2-sized card. For the front, I used the stitched square and rectangle from the Greeting Labels set to create a grid. The pieces are double matted with red and blue to keep the color story of the card. To create the interior scenes I combined pieces from Tropical Scene, Cruise Charms and the Cruise Greetings Clear Stamps.

Open the card to reveal the cruise ship, made by combining the foundation die, Boat Pop-up, with the Cruise Ship Add-ons. I took inspiration from a card by Suzanne Smit for the dashed lines to show the path of the ship. The shorelines and seashells are from the Tropical Scene set. The stitched rectangle and square are from the Greeting Labels set.

I used the included slot die to create the paper clip slot and then used the stamp from the Display Helpers set to tell the recipient how to use the clip and slots. The paper clip slots are optional, but do a great job of holding the card open perfectly flat for display.

Nicky Foden made a wonderful gatefold red and white birthday card featuring the Twist Flower on both folds. I love the way the eye travels through the card from lower left to upper right. What a great example of how a two-color card can be extremely striking. Fabulous!

Sandy Diller made this wonderful Heart Pivot Panels anniversary card and I just love how she styled the hearts as little American flags. It's love and country in one fabulous card!

I challenged the team to create a card featuring Coffee, Tea, Soda or Chocolate. As usual, they've created amazing cards.

For my card and video I am showing a fun combination of pop-up mechanisms to make a highly generic double arch pop-up card.

When closed, the 5" x 5" card will fit easily in an A7 envelope. The front of the card combines decorator pieces from the Tea and Coffee Pop-up along with a stamped greeting from the Coffee Chat clear stamps and the newly-returned Gift Card Label to hold the gift card.

Open the card and two arches pop up, along with two side angled platforms that lend motion to the greeting frames. The pop-up structure is made by combining the Arch Pop-up, Peacock Add-ons and Tea and Coffee Pop-up mechanisms.

The photo frames come from the Photo Gallery Pop-up, filled with Coffee Charms and dangling from Charm Rings.

Sandy Diller altered the Frame Pull Pop-up to fit the mug from the Tea and Coffee Pop-up and the results are wonderful! I love pull tab pop-ups that can be constructed on the fronts of cards. Love it!

Jen Webster chose scrumptious colors for a Rockin' Rectangle card decorated with all of our various coffee-themed dies and stamps. The shading on the cups is amazing! Her friend is sure to love it!

Suzanne Smit cleverly used the Photo Gallery Pop-up with open frames to dangle Coffee Charms. Absolutely brilliant! I love the colors on this card especially. Fabulous!

Nicky Foden has also chosen an amazing color scheme for her combination Triple Flip and Lorna Label birthday card. I just love the way Nicky shades the die cuts and the various baked goods mixed in with the coffee cups is such a great idea. There's a full photo tutorial for this card on Nicky's blog.

Sue Small-Kreider created a process video for this clever adaptation of the Tea and Coffee Pop-up to make a 3D mug atop the Stage Pop-up. Clever, clever, clever! The leaping frog is the perfect mug decor to honor the caffeine boost! Love it!

Lois Bak used the Rockin' Rectangle for a clear front hot chocolate card and the colors are terrific! I love the way she used a stamped heart on the front of the mug and the matching smaller mugs on the card front. Magnificently yummy!

I challenged the team to use our new Stage Pop-up die set for a card of any theme. As usual, they will amaze and astound with their ideas.

For my card and video I wanted to try the Peacock Add-ons on the Stage. I was delighted with how well it worked.

When closed, the card will fit easily in an A7 envelope. I like how the peacock's beak is visible when the card is closed as a little teaser of the reveal. To create the greeting and the PUSH instruction I combined Greeting Labels, Bouquet Bits, Bouquet Sayings Clear Stamps and Stage Scenes Clear Stamps. Patterned papers are 49 and Market designs from my stash.

Push the Stage open to reveal the peacock. I was inspired by Lois to add the white pen detailing to the head of the peacock. To make the die set fit the stage I used it without the Arch Pop-up and instead attached the back row of feathers to the back of the same piece that holds the front feathers. This is a good alternate assembly to fit the peacock into narrower cards.

One of the techniques shown in the video is something I call a gritty glossy texture. Be sure to watch the video for this easy way to add shine and texture to die cut pieces.

Lois Bak is also sharing Christmas inspiration with two Stage cards featuring different holiday pop-ups. The first is the Christmas Trees Pop Stand in a stunning white and gold theme.

Next, Lois made a Sleigh Pop-up Stage card. I love her addition of the larger teddy bear from the Love Is In The Air Charms. Lois added an ornament hanger, inspired by Sue Small-Kreider, so it can be added to the tree. Both cards are wonderful!

Nicky Foden made the mother of all Mother's Day cards with this stunning stage bouquet. As usual, Nicky photographed her process and includes a wonderful step-by-step photo tutorial that includes any mistakes she made and how they were rectified. She also shows the versatility of the slot and L-support system that allows for slots and supports throughout the Stage. I love this card!

Suzanne Smit made this Awwww-some cloudy hedgehog cupcake card and I am swooning! What a brilliant idea to borrow the bows from the Dolled Up Charms to use as hair bows! Suzanne has her signature look of an animal holding something and another signature look with the way she will use just a few colors repeated throughout the card. Magnificent!

Sandy Diller takes us out to the farm for this amazing barnyard scene created on the Stage. This is such a great way to elevate the Barn as well as creating a vertical surface to add box extenders. There are so many layers of dimension to this great card. Be sure to click over to see a video of it in action. Yeehaw!

Jen Webster has been under the weather and although this card was made earlier than the challenge it absolutely fits the theme, so I'm sharing it. Jen's signature coloring is on full display with this delightful Palm Tree Stage card. Oh to be able to color like Jen!

The theme this month is FOR THE BIRDS - I challenged the team to incorporate a bird or birds into a card of any theme.

For my card and video I am teaching the assembly of the new Peacock Add-ons, combined with the foundation die of the Arch Pop-up.

My card is a standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and can be mailed in an A2 envelope. For the front of the card I used two peacock feathers and a stamped greeting from the Strut Your Stuff set, cut out with the Greeting Labels die set. The border is from Border Blends - Trims.

Inside the card is the Peacock created by combining the Peacock Add-ons, with the Arch Pop-up. The greeting, stitched rectangle and borders are from the same sets as the front of the card.

I added some glitter dot stickers to the crest of the peacock for a little sparke.

The peacock is such a beautiful and impressive pop-up for many occasions beyond congratulations and encouragement. It will also make a beautiful birthday, sympathy, Mother's Day or thinking of you card.

Lois Bak admits that she has a favorite in the newest release - the Stage Pop-up. (Clearly we need to challenge Lois to combine her favorite from the last release, the Pine Cone, with the Stage!) The theme this month is LOVE IS IN THE AIR - I challenged the team to make a love-themed card with something in the air. As usual, their projects will amaze and astound you!

For my card and video I am teaching the assembly of the new Photo Gallery Pop-up, combined with the Love Is In The Air Charms and Love Notes Clear Stamps for a striking black and white Valentine.

My card is a landscape A2 (5.5" x 4.25) and can be mailed in an A2 envelope. For the front of the card I repeated elements from the inside, combining the two dies and stamp set for a simple lead-in to the magic inside. I used lightweight white cardstock and a 0.05mm Staedtler Pigment Liner pen for the styling.

As the card opens the two Photo Galleries start to stand up. 

Once open the double Photo Gallery is revealed. The panels are decorated with charms and stamps, all styled in a black and white sketch or comics style.

The goal with Designer Challenge videos is to spark ideas and this one leaves so many avenues for customization by adding in a little (or a lot of) color. The Photo Gallery is the perfect way to showcase charms, animals, stamps, embellishments or photos. 

Check this out! I asked the Design Team if anyone wanted to copy this card in color and Lois jumped right on it. Her pink and green version is stunning!

For my card and video I had the idea to launch a bug into the air where it would be tethered to the card with a ribbon. The idea worked a little too well and the bee flew right off the ribbon when the card was complete. I then pivoted to attaching the bee to the flower using magnets so it would spring up and not leave the card, but could still be removed for display (or just play!)

My card measures 4.25" x 5.5" (A2) when closed. The Flap and Closure die works wonderfully to make a petal fold closure that allows the bee to peek through. The greetings are from our new Bug Greetings Clear Stamps and the smaller bees are from the Bug Borders.

Open the card and the bee and flower pop-up. The bee is made by combining the Mini Ball Pop-up, Mini Ball Access Tabs and Animal Add-ons 6. The flower and leaves came from the Twist Flower Pop-up and the animated stem from two stacked Bam Box Pop-ups.

The bee has magnets to keep it attached to the flower when the card opens, but can be easily removed for play. The greetings are from the Bug Greetings Clear Stamps and the shapes came from the Bam Box Pop-up set. The smaller bees are from Bug Borders and the tiny flowers from the Twist Flower Pop-up set. 

A nice feature of Animal Add-ons 6 is that it fits on all three ball sizes. I chose the Mini Ball Pop-up for this project because I wanted to make an A2-sized card. A larger card could have accommodated a larger bee.

Sandy Diller created an adorable ladybug card for the challenge. I like her use of a belly band as the closure and the sweet mixing of smaller ladybugs with the ball bug. Very cool wing placement on the ladybug, too. Click over for a video of this card in action.
