The pro of these popup dies is that they are just freakin' BRILLIANT! Detailed & so easy to use with the excellent video instructions. They cut professional-level pieces that snap together and make the mystery of creating working popup mechanisms not just a breeze but FUN! The con is that they are not an inexpensive investment. BUT if you plan on getting serious about making popup cards these are a must-have for your toolbox. The pieces can be used in so many different ways so the more sets you collect the more options you have in creating new designs. My suggestion is to look carefully at the parts of each kit and then choose the kits you buy depending on the specific pieces they contain rather than just the overall design as some of the kits are relatively simple but others have almost essential pieces. I splurged on 4 of them (tiny trees, rotating cards, flower basket and palm trees) and figure they should keep me busy for a while. But I already have my eye on more. :) PS and they shipped really fast too!

I just purchased the Tiny Trees yesterday. I made a card today and it is so precious. I did have to use the video tutorial which by the way I love how it gets right into the construction without a ton of narrative some other instructional videos tend to have. Everything then became clear and it is so easy to assemble!
I had so much fun making these trees! Of course without your video I would have had issues! I went right to two trees on the fold and they worked fabulously! All the elements cut beautifully. My only issue was that twig that folds...hard to see on the video and I did it but not so are that was correct..
Love this set at first sight. This set can be used stand-alone. Or it can be used with Tiny House, to build a backyard scene. I cannot wait to start making cards with it.
Just received my dies today. Made a sample. Very easy to make. I recmend watching Karen's video first. I have been a graphic designer for more than 44 years. I started making cards 2.5 yes ago. I combine computer digital images with stamps and dies to make my cards. The 3D tiny trees will take my designs to that next level I have been looking for. I chose to make my tiny tree cards 3.5x4.75. This seems to fit nicely into a A2 envelope just right for me. I look forward to design my first orchard come fall in time for apple picking.
